Iryna Borysova was born on May 17, 2006 in Kyiv, Ukraine. She began her musical studies at the Kyiv Lysenko State Music Lyceum in the classes of Olha Korinets and Vadym Borysov. In 2022, she began studying at the Haute Ecole de Musique Geneve/Neuchatel under the tutelage of Professor Sergey Ostrovsky.

She has won several competitions, including the Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition, the International Violin Competition "St. Hedwig Prize", the Stankovych International Competition, the International Competition “Lvivskyi Virtuoz” among others. She has also participated in masterclasses with esteemed musicians such as A. Brussilovsky,                Z. Nevgodovska, K. Troussov, A. Schnarch, V. Sokolov, Y. Kless, O. Semenenko.

Iryna has performed as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Ukrainian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Kyiv Chamber Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, and Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also participated in Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra2022.

Since 2022 she is supported by VERE Music Fund.

Iryna currently plays a violin made by Augustino De Planis of Venice in 1771, which is part of the collection of the LALIVE Foundation.

Karoliina began her violin studies in 2013. Starting at 6 years old with her teacher Tereza Šmerling she
studied by the Suzuki method. A year later, she continued her studies at the music school of Tallinn
Old Town Educational College. In 2016 Karoliina won first place in the youngest age group of the
Estonian national violin competition "Best Young Instrumentalist".
Since then, Karoliina has earned laureate titles at several important competitions, including third
place in the international Gnessin string instrument competition in Moscow in 2019, Gold Award in
the "Global International Music Competition" in 2021, the I Premio assoluto in the "16th Ars Nova
International Music Competition" in 2021, a second place in the international competition of young
pianists, violinists, and cellists „Young Music“ in 2022 and a second place in the XIII Savshinsky Violin
Competition in 2022.
Starting in 2020, Karoliina has also been studying at the youth department of the Estonian Academy
of Music and Theatre under the guidance of Professor Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. Currently, Karoliina is
continuing her studies in the 9th grade at Tallinn Old Town Educational College music school.
